A Passion for European Modern Farmhouse Style
Tracey's journey to opening Stone House Decor is rooted in her passion for the European modern farmhouse aesthetic. Deeply inspired by the renowned Magnolia Market, Tracey has a love for neutrals, textures, and natural products, all of which you can find in abundance at Stone House. Her store reflects her dedication to offering products that are not only beautiful but also ethically sourced and sustainable.
A Welcome Addition to Willow Park Village
Being part of Willow Park Village, a locale known for its long-standing and beloved stores, is a dream come true for Tracey. "Most of the neighbouring stores have been in the Village for years, and I feel quite blessed to be a part of it," she shares. Stone House Decor has quickly become the perfect addition to the Village, filling a niche that many felt was missing.
The Leap of Faith
Starting a new business is never easy, and Tracey acknowledges the challenges she faced. "It was a huge leap to get here and scary to take on a brand-new idea/company, but one that has many rewards daily," she reflects. Her courage and determination have paid off, and the community's positive response has been overwhelmingly gratifying. “None of this would be possible without the support of my wonderful husband and kids!”
A Philosophy of Warmth and Welcome
At Stone House Decor, making every visitor feel welcome is a core philosophy. "We want people to feel WELCOME in our store," Tracey emphasizes. "Everyone is greeted with a smile, and we are here to help." This commitment to exceptional customer service is evident in the warm and inviting atmosphere that Tracey and her team have cultivated.
What causes are dear to you?
If there is any way that we can support a charity, my favourite is the Calgary Humane Society, in a year and a half we have done two fundraisers for them, and they will continue to be my go-to. We are also committed to supporting women-run companies within Canada. Our last subscription box featured five local women-run businesses, highlighting products not normally sold in our store to help promote their products and businesses and look forward to continuing this as it was so well received! I believe in women supporting women and have been honoured to be featured on A WOMAN A DAY YYC which is an amazing online community sharing inspirational stories about women who lead and lift each other up.
Fave Soap So Co. product?
My favourite product would be the Bonbon bar. It’s so creamy and rich and smells so fresh and the scent lasts right down to the very last sliver. We are also very excited to be adding their new line of liquid hand soap. The bottles are classic and beautiful and would enhance any bathroom.
